Natural ways to increase fertility after 40
Many women struggle with infertility, are looking for natural ways to increase fertility after 40 and that number alone leaves them overwhelmed and frustrated as they navigate the complexities of conception.
You know what it's like, the anxiety of poor egg quality, low AMH levels, and the constant pressure to prepare for IVF can leave them feeling drained and defeated, feeling like you just don't know what to do for the best, And so you end up doing pretty much everything that crosses your path in the hope that something will stick.
Natural fertility support
Before we get into looking at natural ways to improve fertility, I want to say something - this is not your fault. You are allowed to make the choices in your life, and we can only ever do our best at that point in time. The guilt that comes from trying for a baby over 40 is massive, but please don't beat yourself up. There are positive things you can do and despite what people tell you, if you have eggs, we can improve their quality either with or without IVF.
First though, watch this so you get an idea what I'm talking about from me personally rather than words I put onto a page.
Increase implantation success
If we want to max out natural ways to increase fertility after 40, we can't be delusional, time is running out, so the sooner we make the root cause fertility changes that will help YOUR unique body, the sooner we start working on improving your fertility landscape.
To increase implantation success over 40, either naturally or with the assistance of IVF, we need to make sure that the whole ecosystem is the best it can be. That doesn't necessarily mean just your egg quality, but also the whole house that you will be creating your little family inside. Let me explain cos I'm aware that might sound odd.
If you have a nursery that is beautifully painted, would you take your newborn into that house if the rest of it was mouldy with no heating or hot water? Would that give your child the best chance of survival?
The way our body interacts is like rooms in the house, working only with ovaries for example, doesn't touch the rest of the house. But it's important. If you don't have a gut that working to deliver the right nutrients, you don't have a liver that delivers the right temperature and waste control, what chances do you think your unborn has of survival or even conception?
Fertility improvement
When you're struggling with fertility it all comes down to the cells. When cells aren't reproducing the perfect version of themselves, our system suffers. When our system suffers, our fertility is the first thing to go. Because our body is hard wired to always keep us alive at any cost - even if that cost is reproduction. It takes energy to grow a child and your body will divert that 'excess' resource into keeping you alive and as well as you can be over and above growing a new life.
Think about it like a battery on your laptop. If you have a million tabs open (well not really a million but you get my point) then your system will not only work slower, but the battery will drain faster. Even though you might not be aware of the content of the pages displayed within those tabs. This is relating to body bandwidth for fertility.
That's kind of what's going on in your body. And when you're over 40, time has built up a lot of tabs running in the background. Think about it like a bin, in your 20s you're adding things in and it's filling up nicely but the lid still goes on no issues. Same in your 30s but your throwing your rubbish on top of the stuff you placed in it while you were 20. Now you're in your 40's and that bin is getting pretty full. Rubbish starts spilling over. How this all relates to addressing root causes of infertility is that all that rubbish is each a root cause, but until the lid didn't go on, we were neither aware of it, nor did we feel the need to deal with it.
But just like emptying that bin when the rubbish men turn up, we can do the same, which then clears the way for our body to work better. When we work better, it's like watering a wilting plant. And the quality of things like our eggs, our uterus, our health in general improves.
When I'm talking about the rubbish, I'm talking about the things that we naturally gravitate towards and if you're on here I assume that you're already well read on:
Hormonal balance for fertility
Stress and fertility
Gut health and pregnancy
Inflammation and fertility
They tend to be the things that people hear a lot about and try to improve their preconception health. But nothing works in isolation. Our body works like an interwoven web, tissues cross over one another, and so do hormones and other key fertility factors. So when you're over 40, or you're dealing with the nightmares that come from low AMH (regardless of your age) I'm not going to lie and tell you time isn't important. It absolutely is. But the sooner we get started on understanding what your body needs and giving it the support that it needs to throw out its internal rubbish bin, the more time you have with your best quality fertility environment.
Understand what support your unique body needs to charge your battery again.

IVF support
That's why I developed the IVF Prep support. Because doing everything isn't the answer, this will invariably overload your system and it's already got a full bin of rubbish, so how does overloading it with things you don't need help?
In this guide I help you establish what is important for your body, To spot the missing links in YOUR fertility chain and then I help you to put them all in place.
This isn't about doing a million other things. This is about understanding your body, figuring out the support it needs and then being able to then go ahead and put in place the needle changers.
Because getting pregnant over 40 shouldn't be another full time job. That drains an already drained battery. We're trying to charge your battery back up again by emptying your rubbish and then letting your body take care of the rest. If your body is running optimally and you have enough free battery power to grow a child - why wouldn't you then get pregnant? And that's what I've been helping my ladies achieve for over 16 years now.
This applies whether you're supporting fertility alongside IVF or working purely with holistic fertility strategies. The house that you put your baby back into should be the best possible quality in order to give you the best natural chances of increasing your fertility after 40.

Natural pregnancy help
A NOTE on natural pregnancy help.
Do this. Don’t do that. Take this. Avoid that.
What you choose to do is entirely up to you. But whatever you do, I don’t think it should be built around generic fertility hints, tips and advice.
Here’s why.
Think of not getting pregnant like a warning light coming on in a car.
Ten different cars can show the same warning light for completely different reasons. One might need oil. Another has an electrical fault. Another has a sensor problem. You wouldn’t stand in a car park, find ten people with the same light on and assume whatever fixed theirs will fix yours.
Fertility is the same.
Being over 40, having low AMH, having endometriosis — even simply “not getting pregnant” — tells us an output, but it does not tell us everything about what is happening in your body. Their natural methods for pregnancy won't interact with your body in exactly the same way.
That is why copying fertility health tips that worked for someone in a social media group can send you in completely the wrong direction.
Why ask, “What worked for women like me?”
When you can know, “What is actually going on in my body, and what deserves attention first?”
